The Flight of the Blind Eagle (2023)

Two-Channel Video Installation

In this two-channel video installation, humanity hangs in the balance between action and consequence. Figures remain still and silent, while a bound, blindfolded eagle hovers above, both caught in cycles shaped by our choices. The vast Issyk-Kul Lake and Tian Shan mountains frame this tension, reflecting Central Asia’s nomadic traditions and our connection to nature. The blind eagle mirrors humanity itself—striving for freedom yet trapped in patterns of self-destruction. Its constrained flight reflects the erosion of direction and the fragility of our relationship with the earth. The installation traces the rift between humans and nature, where every choice leaves its mark. The eagle’s flight becomes both a symbol and a witness to our struggle, a meditation on the fragile balance between action, responsibility, and the natural world.
